At Schreiber Medical Associate, Aguasabon Medical Clinic and North Shore Family Health Team, we aim to provide high-quality care. To enhance our documentation process and support accurate record keeping, we use a secure, AI-powered scribe, with your consent, during consultations to assist in capturing and summarizing medical information.  This process will also allow our providers to spend more time with patients and less time on paperwork.   

 

How the AI Scribe Works

• The AI Scribe listens to the conversation between you and your healthcare provider.

• It generates a written record of your visit, which the provider reviews and finalizes.

• The AI does not replace any medical judgment or diagnosis and solely supports accurate documentation.

 

Confidentiality and Privacy

• All data collected by the AI Scribe is managed in accordance with Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, if applicable, Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).

• Your information will be accessible only to authorized personnel involved in your care and in maintaining health records.

• The AI Scribe system retains data only for the purpose of creating an accurate medical record, and no personal information is stored beyond your consultation.

 

Consent

At your appointment, you will be asked to signing a consent or to agree with a health care professional after reading the consent, you acknowledge and agree that:

1. You understand the purpose of the AI Scribe and its use in your consultation. 

2. You consent to the use of AI Scribe for documentation purposes during your medical visit.

3. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the quality of care you receive.
