Dear Community Members,

The North Shore Family Health Team Board of Directors is recruiting for a 5th board member.   As an organization we are looking for an individual that shares our commitment to excellence in primary care and our mission statement - To optimize the well-being of North shore residents.

The NSFHT board of directors is a skill-based board comprised of 5 board members. Board meetings are held 8 or 9 months of the year, with updates circulated for reading on the months that do not have a meeting.  Each board member must be actively prepared to participate in committees as needed and review documents prior to meetings.   The board of directors is responsible for the executive director (ED) of the NSFHT, and works closely with them, by overseeing the governance of the NSFHT with financial management, risk management and quality improvement.

This position is open to residents of the North Shore Family Health Team catchment area and includes any residents living between Pays Plat First Nation and Jackfish.

We are specifically looking for Board Members who have governance or work experience focusing on, legal, quality improvement, information technology, and data/health informatics.

If you have skills in one or more of these areas, please email a letter of interest outlining these skills and how you think you would be able to contribute as a board member to the North Shore Family Health Team Board of Directors.

Thank-you for your interest,

Mary Lynn Dingwell, Executive Director, North Shore Family Health Team
